Briar Pipes

Briar pipes are a tobacco pipe made from nodules born at ground level by a woody plant of the heath family.  It is specifically made to smoke tobacco. Briar is a particularly well suited wood for pipe making. It's first and most important characteristic is that it is naturally resistant to fire. It's second important characteristic is that it is able to absorb water and moisture. Briar pipes can have multiple different finishes.
